I must echo a few of the other blogs I follow and begin with an apology [of sorts.]
Things--as I'm sure I've made apparent-- have been crazy, which is why I have been skid-ish in terms of being on a regular blogging schedule..
I found good sources and information while I was in D.C. for work on theFellowship. I think now my next(and final) step is to go to Mississippi(sometime next week). While I have begun my draft, there are some very important holes that need patched...
While I was in D.C. I also got to check out the new education center at the Ford's Theater, that focuses on the life, and mainly the death of President Lincoln. It was a very enlightening experience for me, and I think that everyone(NOT JUST HISTORIANS) would find it an enriching experience. The museum does a great job of integrating history and experience to make it engaging for all audiences. Little kids to old foeggies.
I've also begun a serious step towards taking my experiences in France towards being published. After discussing my time in Europe with a good friend in Charlottesville, who also happens to be an author/writer. I have begun a collaborative project with her, which mainly consists of my Journal and other daily writings there in the France, most of which haven't really been shared much with anyone but my parents. It should be a good opportunity to make something good out of something less good.
Finally, I've gotten on a new kick (last week it was researching to build my own computer) this week it's building a saltwater tropical fish tank... haha I don't even know. This post has gone down hill quick so that is about it. Oh and I ordered the below pair of glasses.. I call them Indy Ivy chic.. What do you think?
