I'm beginning to pack. What do you pack to take to another country for two and a half months? I was cleaning my room today when I realized I was sweating and cleaning in a nervous frenzy. It was like I finally snapped, and my nerves got the best of me. I keep thinking thoughts about my classes, and basic communication and just finishing up some other things I've been working on. I feel like I'm ready to learn again, and ready to see more than just my cozy little home town. I'm ready to leave the nest, and understand more than just my one stop-light town.
This winter break has been extremely productive. I was able to travel from Chicago to Boston to New York to Washington D.C. and even reconnect with many of my friends that I haven't talked to since High school. My Holiday was spent with my family. Sisters, brothers-in-law, parents, and nephew. Now, I have this feeling that I'm ready to move on. Like I don't fit here anymore, with friends, siblings, and parents all back in their regular routines while I have no regular routine to go back to. France will be a great time to get my priorities in order, and to really get my mind focused on my upcoming future. My next few days though will be focused on getting there with essentials in tact.
